Privacy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
YourParties lets someone create a party page and share one link with their guests. Guests never need an account, and hosts can choose to sign in with an emailed link or with Google or Apple. There are no passwords. This page explains what we store, why, and how to get rid of it.
What we store
- Party details: the title, date, location and description the host types in, plus any cover image they upload.
- What guests add: the name you type when you RSVP, claim an item or add a song, your RSVP status and party size, the songs you suggest, and any photos you upload to the party’s photo wall.
- An optional email address: only if you choose to enter one when you RSVP, and only so we can send you a reminder before the party and a link to the recap afterwards. It is never shown to the host, to other guests, or to anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing.
- An optional host account: hosts can ask for an emailed sign-in link, or sign in with Google or Apple, so their parties stay findable under My parties. We store the email address (and, for Google or Apple, the account identifier they give us) for signing in and nothing else: no passwords are stored, and sign-in links work once and expire after 20 minutes.
- Usage events: we record that a party page was viewed, an item was claimed, an RSVP was made and so on, so we can understand whether the product works. These records are tied to a random identifier, not to your name or email.
Cookies
We set a small number of strictly necessary cookies. They are not used for advertising and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies.
- A per-party cookie containing a random identifier, so the page can show you which items and songs are yours and let you change or remove them. It contains no personal information and cannot be read by JavaScript.
- A cookie for hosts, so that returning to your own party page from your host link keeps you recognised as the host.
- A session cookie for hosts who have signed in, so My parties stays signed in on that device. It holds a random value, it cannot be read by JavaScript, it expires after 90 days, and signing out removes it server-side.
Who can see what
Anyone with a party’s share link can see that party page: the link is the permission. Treat it like an invitation: share it with your guests, not publicly. Names, claims, songs and photos on a party page are visible to everyone with that link. The host’s private admin link is separate and is never shown on the guest page.
Email addresses entered at RSVP are the exception: they are stored but never displayed to anyone, including the host.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the product:
- Supabase: database and file storage for everything above.
- Vercel: hosting for the website itself.
- Resend: sends the reminder and recap emails, if you gave us an address.
- Anthropic: if a host uses the optional AI assistant when creating a party, what they type in that chat is sent to Anthropic to generate suggestions. Guest information is never sent to it.
- Spotify: only if a host chooses to export their party playlist, and only after they authorise it.
How long we keep it
Party data stays until the party is deleted. A host can delete their party at any time from their host dashboard, which permanently removes the party page and everything on it: RSVPs, claims, songs, photos and any reminder email addresses. Anonymous usage events are kept afterwards so our overall statistics stay accurate; they contain no names, emails or free text. A host account email is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. The quickest route is usually the product itself: remove your own claims, songs and photos from the party page, or ask the host to delete the party. For anything else, email us at privacy@yourparties.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
YourParties is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has entered information here, email us and we will remove it.
